First private Primary School „Isa-beg Ishaković“ is a school which reflects Bosnian cultural spirit, provides safety to its students throughout the day, teaches them morals and manners, and its goal is to treasure the smiles on students’ faces through quality educational program.
Our school works on a full time basis. At 8:00 am students come to school. Regular classes start at 8:15 am and last to 3:10 pm and the school also offers services of Extended Stay from 3:15 pm until 5:00 pm. Regular, co-curricular, extracurricular, remedial teaching and additional teaching activities are conducted between 8:15 am and 5:00 pm.
School possesses three buildings with classrooms, a sports hall, a library, a reading room, a dining room and a playroom. What distinguishes our school among the others is the fact that every classroom has a smart board.
Classes consist of maximum 20 students, which enables teachers to give full attention to each students and have individual approach to their work and personality.
The primary goal of our school is to help children grow into self-confident, stable, educated and happy people. Considering the fact that our students are not only from Bosnia and Herzegovina but from other countries of the world as well, the children learn to respect each individual as well as the customs, habits, religion and culture of their peers.
The school offers two types of curriculum, Sarajevo Canton Curriculum (in Bosnian language) and Cambridge Assessment International Education program (in Bosnian and English).
Our school offers two Cambridge programs:
– Cambridge Primary (from grade I to grade VI) and
– Cambridge Lower Secondary (from grade VII to grade IX).
Students who attend both programs have the opportunity to study English language in accordance with Cambridge curriculum with increased number of lessons, including the additional lessons in the Extended Stay. Our students study Turkish language as their second foreign language. They choose between German and Arabic as their third foreign language.
Students who attend Cambridge curriculum study three subjects in English language: English language, Mathematics and Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Environment). Other subjects are studied in Bosnian language.
Students have the opportunity to sit for Cambridge Checkpoint and Progression tests which are prepared by experts in Cambridge.
